I have been so lucky to be able to travel with photography. The Stewarts flew me to North Carolina three separate times on Ian’s off season (Ian plays for the Chicago Cubs…Go Cubs!) to photograph their time being pregnant with sweet Mila, the birth and Mila’s newborn session. Just so happens Susan and I grew up around the bend from each, so not only did I get to work but also see my own family!

Exchanges of trust, inspiration, style, smiles of gratitude and nods of freedom. Thats it. Really, on both ends doesnt that make you want to sigh in relief and do the Ducky dance ( umm, from Pretty in Pink!) For me, YES! I think for photographers it is so hard and pretty much an endless love story of finding that client that fits who you are as an artist. Right? Let me tell ya, when it happens…holy True Religion! Its like taking home that brand name pair of jeans not knowing for sure if its an absolute fit….but then magic! I think thats it, finding your brand as a client and reaching for that client that fits your brand. On a side note for photographers~~ Sometimes a client might love your look/style, then the shoot happens and the “fit” doesnt work. ITS OKAY! They came to you for a reason, they have already studied your style and love it if they booked you. Its the session that didnt work, not the photography.
